Anxiety and the great myth of Osaka...

Today was kind of a waste - spent half of it fighting with the phone company and trying to get my window fixed (so don't disclose my address to your murdering, rapist friends just yet). The other half was spent in Jackson Park. Jackson Park is situated south of the Museum of Science and Industry and contains a lagoon and the Osaka Garden. The Osaka Garden (originally the Japanese Garden) was built by the Japanese government in 1893. In 1945, the Garden was vandalized as a result of anti-Japanese sentiment of WWII. Restored in 1986 and renamed 1994, the Garden would be quite peaceful if it weren't for the bastard children running around. Jackson Park appears to be a prime location for illicit drug transactions. My camera made a number of nervous young men seek shelter from the blazing sun under other, out-of-camera-view trees.
